Ok, we just got back from a two-day trip to Wrightsville\Ft. Fisher area trip. Our first stop was Johnnie Mercer Pier, in Wrightsville. There were plenty of Ruddy Turnstones, our first lifer of the trip. Out on the pier we found our second lifer, a unexpected Razorbill. We also saw Horned Grebes, Red-throated Loons, Red-breasted Mergansers, and Northern Gannets. After we finished on the pier, we headed back to the parking lot. We spotted a Accipeter, it was our lifer Cooper's Hawk! Part 2 coming next!
