Pipits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We headed to Lake Crabtree CP today to bird. Upon arriving at the fishing pier we saw Pied-billed Grebes and Ruddy Ducks. After going cold there, we headed to the main trail. There is a large field right next to the parking lot. In the field, amongst large numbers of Killdeer, we found 3 American Pipits!!!!!!!!! Lifer! After that it was pretty dead bird wise, so we headed to Schenk Forest. All we saw was a fairly late Palm Warbler. This bird appeared to be missing an eye. After Schenk, we went to my Grandfather's house in Franklin County. We were hit with waves of 20+  Golden-crowned Kinglets along with a single RB Nuthatch. Overall, it was a good day including one lifer!
